Because the bloke who lives a few doors down that works for Autocar has got this outside his house this morning
The colour is beautiful!
It's a manual with the panoramic roof, stock lights and radio and black leather.
Having now seen it in the flesh I must say I'm even more impressed. It looks very sleek and purposeful. I didn't want to knock on his door and disturb a quiet Sunday morning but no doubt we'll read all about in in the next 10 days.

interesting times from autocar on their track
dry circuit
scirocco 1m20.9s
golf gti 1m23.6s (all be it they say greasy0
wet circuit
scirocco 1m11.4s
golf gti 1m7.5s
the reckoned in the wet comfor gave it more front end grip, be careful on those damp, so be careful with those golfs
on the plus side it gets to 120mph 4 seconds faster

Comfort will definately give greater grip if it allows more roll given that the ride height is fixed.Basic vehicle dynamics.I had planned to use it around here in slippy conditions.

White one on Autocar man's drive tonight.
S111CCO I think I've seen that reg on some other pictures. Didn't get the chance to see the spec though.
I'm guessing it'll be in a group test in the next couple of weeks. The Mini JCW maybe?
