Hi there, I'm new to this forum, hoping you can help?
I bought a new Scirocco 2.0L tdi back in October (new model) & after around a month the textured shell which surrounds the volume button on the audio/SatNav unit cracked in two places and eventually fell off. I took the vehicle back to my local dealer to be told that the whole audio/SatNav unit needed to be replaced as VW don't supply the faulty part alone. I had the unit replaced at the beginning of March and have discovered today that once again the shell is once again starting to crack.
I would like to know if anyone is aware of this fault & whether they have experienced the same issue. I believe the unit is not unique to the Scirocco, I recall having the same unit on a recent Passat but never saw the same issue, I suspect it is a faulty batch of button shells.
