Engine problems 2.0 tdi dsg

Post by saurus »

I found this site after searching the Internet to try and find answers to my recent car issues ..... I wonder if anyone can help. Problems started 5 weeks ago on my 2.0 tdi dsg 140 Scirocco 09 plate. I noticed it felt underpowered and slow to accelerate. Sure enough couple of days later the coil light came on, went into limp mode and demanded immediate garage attention. Took to local main dealer garage who kept it for a couple of days, plugged it in said that no fault had returned and the only thing it could be is dirty fuel. They drained it, stuck a new fuel filter on it and sent it back. Felt no better and a few days later light came on again. Back to the local garage, I told them I thought it was a turbo actuator ( no mechanic but had seen similar issues on here). Sure enough came back all apologetic yes actuator fault was now showing and replaced at no cost to me. Felt alright for a couple of weeks but has now when up to temp started struggling when in low revs doing about 40 mph in traffic, also the other day again when up to temp struggled to make 70 mph when put my foot flat to floor. Only has 46 k on clock and previously totally reliable except for the early dsg recall. Anybody any ideas? Is it just coincidence that have had the 2 engine probs within a month. As I say I am no mechanic so have no idea.
