rear brake pads

Post by robb »

can anyone recommend an uprated set of pads for the rear ? or am i better off sticking to oem? just wondering if its worth buying something else since the labour is going to have to be carried out regardless. thanks

Unless you track the car and have other upgrades.I would stick to OEM
Ideal compromise between performance and longevity.

And even if you were planning to uprate the pads don't do the rears first. Think about if you were in the situation where standards pads weren't working well, stinking hot brakes all round and standing hard on the pedal. The last thing you want is the front brakes not working properly and the uprated rear brakes just coming into their operating window. Think doing 90 down the motorway and pulling the handbrake on....

You will be able to buy OEM pads slightly cheaper from TPS, but I would just let the garage supply as it gets round any fitment issues and who is blame should there be an issue in the future. Ihad my rear pads replaced just before Xmas and they were £36 plus VAT from my dealer.
