Side window problems.. ( when fully opened doesnt close )
Hi. So i have this problem when i open window completely open and try to close it, it doesnt close.. It goes halfway up and then opens again. Its not problem when im in can because i can force it open by pressing opening button longer, but with remote key it's a big problem..
I want to know if that is a feature or fault. I just reacently bought the car so i have warranty left.

Is the door open when youre trying to close the window?
If the door is closed, I would think of trying to re-calibrate the windows

Hmm. I think I misread this the first time I read it.
Do the windows seem to have too much resistance? (Is it slow closing the windows?)
If you need to calibrate:
jump in car and open both windows. Then do up both windows (holding the button, not one touch) but when it gets to the top keep hold of the button for about 5 seconds afterwards. Wait 5 seconds then hold the window up buttons again for about 5 seconds.

Re: Side window problems.. ( when fully opened doesnt close
Hi,
I was trying to find some topics here in the forum that help me to understand and is going on with my scirocco's window passenger and realised that this issue reported by Jimijokela is quite similar to mine (I would say it is the same...).
Every time I try to close the passenger window it goes halfway up and then goes down again. The window seems to be slow, like it has some kind of resistance.
Could anyone give an opinion? It's somehting easy to solve?

Yes the windows have a safety feature when the motor draws too much current it will open again.
Best way is to inspect the windowmechanism by stripping the whole door assembly.

Roy_01 thanks for your reply. Strip the whole door is something simple? I already checked some topics explaining how to do it in the EOS and Passat, is it similar?
After I do that and with the whole door stripped, is there any particular test that I should To the mechanism.
Once again, thanks for the help.

Re: Side window problems.. ( when fully opened doesnt close
I haven't done this myself on a scirocco. I think it's the same as the eos and passat but the windows are quite heavier because of the large doors on the scirocco.
Sure it isn't a job to do alone. It can be the motor that is failing but more likely the pully system that is on it's way out.
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
