New ipod nano not playing through stereo? help?

Options: Winter pack,Parking sensors,Dynaudio,Tyre indicator,Pano roof,GT steering wheel badge,VW Mats, rubber/premium,Headlight and led upgrade interior/exterior,Metal pedals inc foot rest,HK sills,R lights,Cup holder for rear,Concealed ashtray,Auto coming home headlights.

New ipod nano not playing through stereo? help?

Hi guys,

Just got a new ipod nano for my Christmas as my other nano had only 8gb etc in it.
Anyways,I`ve got a flash adaptor and put it in. Ipod shows its playing and you can hear the msic when playing through headphones but nothing comes up on the stereo and nothing plays through the speakers.
The ipod does light up and show its charging so I`m lost what else it could be especially if you put the old nano in and works fine. :shrug:

Any ideas?

I have the same thing but nano wasn't recognised by the stereo but my Ipod touch works fine, no idea as to the cause but it seems it must lay with the ipod. I took it to VW when the car was under warrenty thinking it was a fault but one of the sales people tried their player and that worked fine as well.
