Hi, I wont be driving my Scirocco for a while and was thinking about buying a car cover for it however I have heard some bad reviews about them.
Have any of you guys ever used them? If so what was your experience?

Re: Car cover - good or bad?
Years ago I was working away from home and had to leave my Mk1 Mexico at my folks place - i invested in an expensive waterproof / felt lined car cover to 'protect' it and keep it away from the preying eyes of the local lowlife . Once i'd got back (2 months later) the condensation that had built up inside it had accelerated a few minor stone chips into full on crusty scabs on the bonnet and front panel , and (I guess where the wind had blown the cover around) it had chafed on the very edges of the bonnet / roof / boot and took the paint down to the primer
It cost a few quid to put it right - i'd never use a cover on a car that was stored outside again
In hindsight , i think i'd rather spend my money something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-CAR-C ... 4872c4b556
