Someone kindly drove into the back of my roc this last week at a roundabout!http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 347ee136c1# i am very impressed (or just plain lucky) with the resilience of the car. If I did not know it had been hit at approx 20-30mph I wonder think the bumper simply had a poor a paint job. Despite in depth inspection by both myself and two repairers there is no evidence of damage to the body shell itself and the bumper sprang completely back into shape. Not even a bulb blown.
The only thing not able to inspect as yet is the rear bumper reinforcement bar enclosed by the bumper itself. I suspect this will be bent so intend to replace it.
Can anyone tell me the part number for this as it is very confusing and there are many available on Ebay for Golfs and Eos and some of these fit the Scirocco apparently. Golf owners tend to remove them when fitting a tow bar and that is why a lot are available at low prices.
If you do have a one for a Scirocco you can check its the number on the bar itself (and not its brackets as that numbe ris different).
Failing anyone knowing I guess its a trip to the VW dealerhttp://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/posting ... 347ee136c1#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: part number needed
You can find the part number yourself by going to:
http://www.partsbase.org/vw/scirocco-sc ... 50-bumper/
A very useful site, it looks like there are a couple of options:
1K0807305C
1K0807305B
The site also allow you to click on the part and it displays all variants across the VW range...so the above is listed for various Golf models.

Re: part number needed
Thank you for that its very much appreciated.
Your info supports what I had worked out by scouring a lot of Ebay sellers but was becoming confused as sellers were quoting different part numbers for what appeared to be the same model of Golf so obviously variants differ in the type of re-inforcer used.
Thanks once again - much appreciated
Regards
