Odd ride when car is cold.

Post by lloydie63 »

Hi all,
When my 2.0 DSG 2009 car is cold and I start to drive off the car feels like i'm running over catseye's after a mile everything clears up and the car runs without fault. At idle the engine tickover is smooth it's only when I drive the problem occurs. I'm thinking oil in gearbox?? The car has done 22,000 and is only usually used at weekends.

I get that when I had Bridgestones. I believe the tyres take on a flat spot when it rests in the garage and so has that 'square wheel' effect until it warms up and tyre roundness is restored.

only happens in winter
