Rear brake pads replacement
Hi all, my rear brake pads are in need of desperate replacement which I will be doing on Friday. I'm looking at Europarts for the actual pads and as my brake pad warning light has come on my mfd I assume I HAVE to buy pads that are compatible with the sensor or the light won't go out? At the moment I'm looking at pagid pads which are about £25 in the sale and usually about £50. i was looking at eicher but have read bad reviews about them. Has anyone used pagid pads before or Can anyone recommend anything else that are reasonably priced and readily available by Friday? Thanks in advance, John

Pagids are a good pad, bosch and mintex are also very good. Keep away from eicher as we have had allot of issues with them :-)
The sensors come with the pads, make sure you check the front pads and sensor connector.

Re: Rear brake pads replacement
I have pagid pads which I fitted a few months ago and they are good. The wear sensor is only on one one pad, at the front near side. I found the connector for it wasn't easy to plug back together, don't know if anyone else has had this problem. Remember you'll need a piston wind back tool for the rears.

Re: Rear brake pads replacement
So are we saying the rear pads don't have sensors? They are available to buy with sensors but if I don't need them I obviously won't buy them! Also if the rear don't have sensors and my brake warning light has come on then I assume my fronts need doing too?!
Thanks for your replies, John

Re: Rear brake pads replacement
As far as I'm aware there are no sensors on the rear pads, so if your light is on you either need front pads or the sensor wire is broke.

Re: Rear brake pads replacement
Thanks, it will be the pads. I know the rears need doing as it was an advisory on my mot so the fronts won't be far behind. Will get it sorted at weekend. I have all the tools just need to pick up the pads
