Fading Paint...

Post by selleym »

I have noticed on the front panel on the passenger side that the paint seems to be fading.
I have two pictures! Its hard to get the light right to show it. It also feels noticeably smoother than the rest of the panel like its just been polished.
Looks like its got too hot or something?
Its a bit strange...

Have you had the car from new? If not, I wonder if it's had a small smart repair.

Could have done! No not had it since new. Except for the fading bit you wouldn't be able to tell its been touched up. As in no uneven paint.
The same panel on the other side has definitely been resprayed as you can tell the texture is not exactly the same as the rest of the panels.

Have you tried giving it a proper polish yourself? If that doesn't work, a decent paint repair shop should be able to do fix it easily

Yeah sounds like it's had a little bump on the corner and been resprayed.

Also notice this on the back underside near the exhaust all the way across to the reflector.
Doesn't wash off with normal car soap...
Will try some polish on it seee what's going on?
Looks a bit strange like its faded?....
