I am new to the forum and been for an MOT which failed for the n/s headlight aim too low. Dealer said they 'tried' to correct but new headlight required at a cost of £230!!! Lucky for me it's out of warranty
Anything to watch out for when I try to correct this myself?
Same thing happened on mine, re:my comment on 1st page of this thread, although the dealer just adjusted it. Not sure how the headlight got out of alignment like that, could have been a bad pot hole I thumped through some months previously.
Options: multifunction steering wheel, fogs, 18" alloys; DAB; XDS activated, DRLs reset, lock beep activated; indicator repeat set to 4; covered cup holder, rear seat 12v socket installed. metal pedals, 210 Golf GTi also in the stable. Scirocco gone - miss it. Polo GTI now.
Had my MOT just before the warranty ran out and the dealer had to adjust the nearside headlight for being too low. Not aware it had altered since delivery so must have been like that from new or the adjusting motor was faulty!! So much for pre-delivery inspections.
Think it was because of the damn potholes around here.. more like craters! Took the rubber cover off the back and pushed the little black interface box in which not only made the electronic leveller work but sorted the aim out too!
Retest booked for this week so hopefully should be positive!
