I recently ordered some Bosch wiperblades from Wiperblades.co.uk after seeing recommendations on here. The blades turned up nice and prompt a few days after ordering. I decided to wait until the weekend and give the windscreen a thorough clean before fitting. However the day before I got back to my car after work and found the screen was cracked, the old stone chip and warm weather scenario.
I got in touch with my insurer and had to wait over a week for a new screen to be fitted. Whilst the screen was being fitted I came to realise this wasn't the first replacement screen the car had seen (the scratches in the channel between screen and a-post giving that away).
Anyway shiny new screen and new wipers ideal, like a new car. So today first day of rain in weeks and guess what, you'll never believe it. Drivers wiper blade leaving a line on the downward stroke right in the eyeline. On closer examination I find that the blade has a defect in it. I've emailed Wiperblades and await a reply. I do hope they can do something as otherwise I'm going to need another blade and I've only had it on the car for 3 days!!
If I have to pay for another I'll probably buy from a shop as I can't return the current blade as I've thrown the old ones away as the crack pretty much finished them off. Oh the joys of motoring in the uk.

Hope you didn't waste £2 on the lottery:-)
Can't remember the last time I got a defective blade. Were thry Bosch or Valeo?

No the lottery is a waste of time. There Bosch blades, never had a problem with Bosch before. I should have checked them beforehand, but with all the agro with replacement screen (insurance wouldn't put OE screen in as car is over 3 years old) I totally forgot. Just been on the wiperblades website and they have 14 day return policy, I'm within that time, just! But the thing is I've binned the old wipers as the crack tore them up a bit and even if I'd kept them I wouldn't want to use them on a brand new screen. So I can't return faulty blades without buying more and that means paying £35 at halfrauds or putting Valeo on or buying single Bosch blade for drivers side.
So unless wiperblades are going to go the extra mile it looks like new blades are going to cost me at least £45 if not closer to £60 after all that. So the title of my original post now seems very apt!!

Why not order replacement blades from wiper.co.uk and say you had them on your car for a few days and noticed one was faulty and return the old one within 14 days of your most recent order. That would give you a good spare set.
With the various discount codes ECP have you can pick up a Valeo VM331 set or a Bosch 928S set for under £20
I always keep a set of blades spare just incase I need one in a hurry and pay over the odds.at Halfrauds.

Re: It never rains it pours
I decided to buy a new set of valeo blades on saturday as wasn't happy about having faulty blades on a new screen. Anyway received an email reply today and their sending out replacement blades today with a freepost return to send the others back. Result! I have to say as far as customer service goes that's spot on. I'll definitely be using them again next time.
So now new wiperblades on the car and a spare set on the way. It's monday and the sun is shining!
