Noisy drivers seat BOING!

Post by selleym »

Hi,
I have just noticed that when I sit forward then back again like when parking the drivers seat make a boing sound from the backrest...
Sounds like a spring may have come loose?
Has anyone else had this issue before?

Thanks

Any one else had this?
The car has 12 months VW warranty on it. Worth asking them to have a look? :grumpy:

I've just had the drivers seat replaced under warranty because it was clicking under acceleration and braking, so it's definitely worth a shot.

Hi, did you manage to solve this issue? I've been trying to get it fixed, but without any success. I tried 2 different dealerships and they all said everything is OK and that they can't do anything (notice that I live in Poland). It's really annoying...

Hi, good to hear its not just me! But sucks ure having the issue aswell! I haven't talked to any dealers about it yet! Just due to it being just an annoyance! I will defo talk to the dealer at some point and report back! Be great if anyone else has sorted the issue and could let us know! Maybe we can put a video up to show what we mean!

Hi, I'm writing to let you know, that I finally managed to convince my dealership to deal with this noisy driver seat. They've taken it apart and decided that a replacement seat will be fitted. So now I have to wait like a week or so for them to get the parts, but I hope the problem will be gone for good.

not the lumbar support is it silley? my old gt lumbar definitely flopped about a bit - move it and see if it stops..?
