Vagcom attempt

Went to my mates tonight who's got vagcom to turn on a few features, turned out not to be very productive as we couldn't get anything to work.
Used the roccopedia guide but didn't get half the menus it shows for things for some reason.
Overall outcome.....Pants

How old is your car? What did you try to enable?
White or red dash?

also did the motor run when you were entering the tool? no expert here, but mine didnt show all the menus when only on contact.

Jay it's a registered Dec 09 but not sure about build date. It's a white dash & we tried doing drl deactivate( which turns out this morning it worked as there's no lights on at the minute), needle sweep & window closing via rain sensor.
Trance, the ignition was on that's all.
Rob it's a Ross Tech hex+can mate

For needle sweep did you change 'staging' in adaptation? If it didn't work try 'indicator celebration' instead

I used the guide on roccopedia but I didn't get the same opttions it tells you to change :s
