Hi guys, has anyone had the cruise fitted by their local dealer recently?
If so, what did it cost?
My local don't seem to be that helpful. I asked them to fit some R Line pedals to my manual GT but because there isn't an official VW accessory pedal set for the manual cars they said they won't and if I do it will prob void my warranty as the car wasn't spec'd with them from the factory :-/
Thanks in advance.

Depends what year your car is - there was a changeover point when they started to use a combination stalk on the Golf platforms, then it got pretty expensive for the dealers to fit.

It's brand new. I haven't taken delivery yet. Hopefully this will be next week. Does that mean it's the same part as the golf?

Hi lee, yes I did have a good look at your how too but I don't have access to the vag com etc so I was wondering if people had the dealer do it. If they did how much it cost? My local are not open to doing this sort of thing so wondered if others are.
Cheers

If it's brand new, the dealer might refuse. Why didn't you choose it as standard if you don't mind me asking.

Re: Cruise. Dealer fit?
Yeah I think your right that's why they wouldn't change the pedals.
The reason I didn't spec it from new was because when I went to order one the order book was closed due to the new one coming out around July ish. I needed a new car fairly quickly as my Clio is still going well but it's time to change. With this in mind a wait of 4 months wasn't an option so my options are what's in the group or on the water. I wanted an indium grey TDI so I had around 4 cars to choose and non of them had cruise.

Think you can get it fitted by a third party for circa £300.

Dealer I got my R from said £300 for cruise retrofit which I thought was very reasonable. Was very tempted but didn't pull the trigger on it.
