Iron & Tar

Post by JohnsonAsco »

I only seem to notice the spots after I've cleaned and dried my car, does that mean I have to dry it and then use iron and tar remover and then rinse and dry again?

Both products can be used on dry or wet paint. I prefer to do it straight after I have washed the car . Rather than wash dry, decontaminate , wash , dry.

Remember once you have used these products it will strip any paint protection that is present. So you will need to reapply a wax or sealent.

Tbh this is an area that gets mixed opinions. Everyone is different and would recommend different products. I use all auto finesse products. But thats only because I find they all work really well and would like to keep to one brand. If sealent then I would suggest auto finesse tough coat combo. Another option that is highly popular on this forum is the werkstat acrylic kit. If you are looking at waxs then you have to decide what you want out of it. Looks or durability etc? Looks you cant beat auto finesse illusion or swissvax best of show. Angelwax desirable is also a popular wax. Also worth looking at bouncers wax or dodo juice. Tbh mate the list is endless. This is dangerous territory you are entering and once you do there is no going back. You will be converted to a car cleaning addict
