Had it a fair bit around town and people pull up at lights asking if new golf. It even got me a chicks number as she was looking at it outside gym and asked her if she wanted a spin..... another time, followed by number and a date the following sunday.

After cleaning it yesterday got a few looks, its funny... the car has made me want to sell my bike!

Yeah, got loads of looks on the way home - sure it'll wear off but it feels good, just worried about leaving it in public car parks now

Ok, only had it for about 2 weeks now, and already had...
- Two people come over and ask what it is at the petrol station
- Various people looking curiously at it when parked up
- Had an old guy walk around it twice at the supermarket carpark
- When in France, all the Frenchies were asking what it was - (Is it a Golf?)
- Had various boy racers trying to it a race (and lose)
- People actually let you out at junctions! (had a beamer before!)

So all in all, probably the most unique experience out of the list of cars I've had previously!

I find myself going to pubs with car parks next to beer gardens but I am sick of "is that the new golf"

Knew a mate who thought he was lucky because he dated a girl who liked cars (he had a TVR). She left him for a guy who drove a Ferrari...

Hmm, will have to bear that technique in mind should I have a change of circumstances! You're obviously one smooth operator!

I had two girls in a fiesta ST checking mine out last night. I doubt very much it was me though! Sadly I was at lights on the ring road and they were crossing it so didn't get a chance to stop and chat!

Yep, get lots of drooling over the viper roc, then they see me get out of it, and you can almost hear them thinking: "now thats just not right".. :p

One thing i have noticed is cars sitting in my blind ( ish ) spot, gives you a bit of a jolt, when u think theres nobody there.. They are ploughing down the motorway, spot the car, then sit there just off your 4 o'clock :shake:

I've got my Viper green one since last saturday and the public response is above expectations.
My experiences the last 2 days:
- For some reason, even girls that never cared about cars seem to like it
- VW-drivers stick beside/behind me on the highway.
- Photographing while I'm waiting at the traffic lights
- Lots of thumbs up while driving
- The same dialog all the time: What engine is in it? An 1.4? That's tiny for such a car... 160HP you say? No way, that's impossible!

I used to drive a yellow Seat Ibiza, which seemed to have a sign "I'm an agressive driver" on its back... driving my Green Beauty is a VERY different experience!

I have begun to notice how much attention it my car is getting, particularly from people that are in Golf's! I have never really noticed other people looking, normally I am just too concentrated on the traffic! But at traffic lights etc. I do make a conscious effort to see if anyone is looking my way :)

Noticed a policeman on duty yesterday had a good look as we drove past. :)

Thankfully - they are still very rare and long may it continue. To date I have only seen only one other candy white, and have yet to see a rising blue (apart from one at the VW dealer). :)
