Part number for steering wheel cowling

Post by dimexi »

Hey guys,
I've done a quick search and not found info - I doubt it's a part people change frequently either.

I am looking to change my steering wheel cowl (upper and lower) - not sure what part numbers are applicable or whether one from a Golf MkV will fit.

What I currently have my eye on via ebay is 1K0 859 560 - is this applicable on the scirocco?

Is there a VW parts catalogue for public access online incase I have similar queries in the future? Thanks for your help guys

use this link for a free online version of EKTA http://ifinterface.com/ . Once there - click on >>
>> Welcome (in the centre of the screen)
>> Free services (top right)
>> Car Prog 2 (top middle)

Let it load up and close the little pop up box , then using the drop downs in to top menu bar ( DO NOT 'highlight' any of the models in the listing below the menu bar)
select "SCI" for scirocco and then your model year from the next drop down menu . Next pick wich 'group' you want to look at - Number 8 in your case , then scroll dwon the descriptions on the right until you find what you are looking for . Click in the 'PIC' column to get a blown up view of the parts to the left , and the part numbers to the right.

if you've done it right , you should get to see this (split into 2 pictures for clarity)

Lee :)
