Display showing km/h how to change

Post by Dale_moseley19 »

Got my new Rocco but it's annoying to keep seeing the km/h on the display. Tried through the menus but can't find a way go change.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

It displays KPH because the.speedo doesn't have KPH calibration marks on it, just MPH amd it's normal practice to have both these days. I believe you can change it to MPH by using VCDS and changing the country setting to "Rest of World"

Did anyone ever figure out if changing it to ROW has any other effects, or do we think it's just the speedo?

I have never found any 'other' effects and have changed to RoW on my car and several others. Obviously the benefit is getting the 'big MPH' display in the MFD.

Tried to do mine last night too. How did you get on? Changed mine to RoW in 17, 0, 4 I think but still get km/h. A new item has appeared in the menu, alt display I think, but it's greyed out. Any thoughts? Thought of trying to set it to France or Germany where speedo would be km/h and the alternative display would be mph but not confident about VCDS yet.

I want mph in the display mainly but interested in the comment about big MPH, is that a current speed display on the "trip display" where fuel consumption, miles, average speed appears? If so would like that too.

There are several changes to make in the MFD once you have altered setting to RoW with VCDS. I can run through them for you....

OK - after ticking 'Rest of World' in the country selection, disconnect VCDS, then using the MFD:
In 'Settings', highlight mpg/GB and then in 'MFD Data' tick a new box that will show as 'Digital Speed Disp'.

The 'Big MPH Display' is a dsiplay of current mph that appears as one of the MFD scroll through items along with time of journey, mpg, av speed etc....

I'd already done the mpg/GB bit but the digital speed disp option in MFD was greyed out and wouldn't let me tick it.

As I said there was a new item called alt display in the top menu which was ticked. Unticked that and the digital speed disp option in the MFD list appeared normally, selected it and I've got a big current speed display and it's in mph too. So result! Thanks for the help and PM.

The Rest of the World setting is when using VCDS.

Unfortunately, no easy way to change it without Vcds.
