Yellow oil light flashing on

Hi guys

My oil warning light came on yesterday filled it up with oil but still is saying check oil level? Any one with ideas as why this would be

It could be a faulty level sensor if you've checked tbe oil level and found it to be between min and max on the dipstick.

Thx it's the micro switch on the bonnet!!

I forgot about that and the fact the error won't clear if it hasn't detected the bonnet being opened to rectify the issue.
