Currently trying to guess my 'negative equity' position after 12 months based on the capital I will pay in my monthly payment.

It's a tough call as it depends on whether VW start knocking them out in numbers and what kind of state the economy's in another year (not good probably!). I'd guess around about £18k for a well specc'ed 2.0Tsi GT model (probably about £24k new).
