Service Indictor

Post by matthewlancs »

Hi guys,

Just a quickie......

Bought my Roc about 6 months ago from a Nissan garage (it had been part ex'd against a new Nissan - SHAME ON THE OWNER!!! haha). I was told that it had been serviced upon my purchase, book completed by them.

The service indicator has now come on and tells me a service is due (after a brief countdown for the last 200 miles or so).

My question is this:

Will the Nissan garage simply not have been able to reset the service indicator or does the Roc have "active monitoring" like my old 1 series and it is trying to tell me something needs looking at?

Cheers!

It really depends on what service regime the car is on and when it was last serviced.

Time and Distance regime is every 9,300 miles or 12 mobths

Longlife regime is variable up to a maximum of 18,600 miles or 24 months. It does monitor but not as sophisticated as the BMW system.

Have you done 9k miles in the last 6 months?
