My brake lights ALWAYS work...

I was sitting in my car with the engine off and caught a reflection of the rear and noticed that my brake lights still come on when pressing the brake pedal.
Tried taking the key out of the ignition and locking the doors but the brake lights still work.

Is this normal???

The headlights and tail lights don't work with the ignition off, just the brake lights.

Perfectly normal, the brake lights always work, not just when the ignition is on. Common on VAG cars.

Thanks mate. My last two cars have been Audis and I never noticed it on them.
