From Ibiza to Scirocco

Post by TDISportAaron »

Hey people,

Newbie here.
Should be picking up my new Scirocco 10 plate tomorrow (170 GT TDI). With panoramic sunroof, full leather and the 19" wheels.
I'm like a damn kid waiting for Christmas!!! I just want it now!

Anyway.... Hope to stay around here for quite a while. I'm the owner of the TDISport.com car club (car club for diesel cars). So although I am not new to diesels I am new to VW, I previously had a SEAT Ibiza FR TDI 130 (Remapped by Custom Code to about 160bhp). Had the car from new and never really had any problems. Very economical, but after test driving the Scirocco it just oozes quality!

Look forward to keeping you all updated on any modifications I do and the impending question(s).

Thanks, just waiting for pick it up now.
Garage are going to fit bits of new trim, but apparently they are on back order so I'll get them fitted at a later date.

Will post up pictures as soon as I have it.

Welcome to the forum.

I think Candy with a pano roof is a great combo.

I had my alloys powdercoated dark anthricite with a satin finish just to make it a little bit individual and now theer is a whole black and white thing going on.

Well.... I now have the car. It is a stunner!

Discovered that the garage haven't de-smoked the car (the previous owner must have smoked in the car), so will collect a fragrance "bomb" from them at the weekend, along with the VW mats.
Found that the sun visor on the drivers side has a smashed mirror, so that has been ordered by the garage too (the whole visor apparently).

Looking forward to any long distance journeys coming up now!
