How much longer to wait?

Post by nickp »

Just had a call from my dealer saying my car was at the port awaiting shipment.
He said he'll give me a call as soon as it's landed in the UK which could still be up to two weeks away.
That seems a long time to me. Should only take a couple of days to sail from Portugal surely and they must have boats leaving regularly.
Can anyone confirm if two weeks sounds realistic. Thanks

When I heard the dealers voice on the phone just now my heart raced as I thought he was going to tell me the car was here.
It's two weeks to the day that he last rang to tell me the car was now built and just going through Quality Control.

I'm getting impatient now :(

Think i read somewhere that they are transported from Portugal to Germany and then shipped into Grimsby. Think thats where the 2 weeks are coming in to play. The wait is most certainly a ball ache!!! But by all accounts completely worth it by the sound of things!

You and me both! Was given a build week of the 9th of March and I'm still waiting to take delivery of it! Apparently mine, like yours, is still stuck waiting for a boat to transport it! According to my dealer there's supposed to be 2-3 boat shipments every week but so far my car hasn't managed to find it's way onto any of them

Mind you most folks seen to suggest there's about a 2 week delay from build to delivery so at least if that's true mine should be here soon!
