Going to view an 09 2.0 GT Tsi at the weekend with 47K on the clock. Anything specific i should be looking out for apart from the obvious?

I don't think they commonly suffer from any major faults in particular. If dsg then look out for rough or clunky gear changes.

How much is it up for, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm in the market for one too, and the prices seem to vary by quite a lot.

Thanks for comments, I am having to scour the country for one with less than 50k within my budget of £12k. Prices for an 09 seem to vary from about £11,500 to £15,000. The one i am looking at is manual which is what i would prefer and is about on my budget.

Just stumbled upon this one, although it is a DSG and slightly above your budget, although not to say there could be some negotiation.

Not a problem! I assume you bought the car you intended viewing today (09 plate, 47K on the clock)? Happy driving! :)
