OK, I've had my second hand 2008 Rocco for less than a month now. I absolutely love it and spend much too much time just sitting in it admiring it. I occasionally drive it as well!!!
The issue is that I have on at least 2 occasions managed to lock myself IN the car with no easy way out.
Sitting in car - remove key from ignition - press lock button on key fob once - doors lock - alarm leds flash. I understand that deadlocks are now active with me inside the car. Try inside door handle - doesn't work - logical so far.
Now press key fob unlock button - try inside door handle - doesn't work. Put key in ignition - turn key - try door handle - still nothing - only way out is either via passenger door (handle works) or by winding down driver side window and opening door using ouside handle. Is this normal - seems a bit odd to me.

As you say when you press the fob once the car is deadlocked and the internal door release shouldn't work, so that's OK.
When you press unlock I would have thought that the internal handles would then work, but not having tried this stunt myself I can't confirm. There seems no logical reason why the passenger door handle should work and the driver's side not. Do the windows drop as normal when you try this?
If you press the fob twice in quick succession when locking the car it should lock the car but not apply the deadlocks. This allows you to secure the car when passengers are left inside in case they need to get out at some stage.
The fact that the outer door handle works and the internal one doesn't suggests that there's a fault there.

Silly I know, but I did and this is what I discovered. But you could in theory accidentally press the key fob button, then drive off and then find you can't get out again. Further investigation required.
