Modifying bluetooth harness

Post by dstill »

I installed the RNS510 and want to get the voice control working. My car had a factory installed Bluetooh system so the cable from the mic runs directly to the Bluetooth module. I know i need to route it to the RNS first then on to the Bluetooth module but i don't want to cut any existing wires.

I can do this by pulling the two mic cables out of the harness at the Bluetooth module and connecting another two cables to the pins and route them to the RNS.

My question therefore, is there a connector available from VW that will allow me to insert the original mic wire connectors into it so that i can join my new mic cable to the other side of the connector. This means i dont need to cut the pins off the existing mic harness? :(

Kufatec have the retro fit harness available (I purchased this for mine last year and it works perfectly)
