It was a track day organised and paid for by VW, I got a call from them telling me about it. They did a pre inspection and I have to take the car in for a post track inspection, all free of charge.

The actual track day was good fun although they told me to slow down!?

Shame you weren't there, it was mainly golf GTi's and R's out there.

Glad you got the radiator sorted, the flooding was pretty bad in some places, it doesn't surprise me that these roads don't have any drainage. Dubai doesn't plan for anything.

The golf R's were pretty quick around the track but seemed to suffer from the same apex under steer the Scirocco suffers from.
Even with the Bilstein suspension on firm it was still too soft for the track, the car needs the larger anti roll bars fitted and also needs around 2 degrees of negative camber on the front to try and dial out some of the under steer. A quaife limited slip diff would also work wonders on this car.

Yes Anti Roll Bars are the key but I don't think I would bother. On normal roads the car still feels stiff already! Yesterday I raced ford focus on the barsha road going to emirates road man he didnt see me after 150km also on the long curves I was way faster :)

I don't race on the roads, there's enough idiots driving on these roads without people racing on them too.

Go easy out there :)
