Very quick question

Post by rm0rgan »

I am about to order a new Rocco and my question is this...

I have been offered a 10% discount off list price for a GT 170 DSG loaded with some extras - is this good, normal, poor?

Thanks for your views and experiences :)

Any discount is good in my opinion, you could of course push for more :-)

If its a high spec then I'd be happy.

So, have done the deal...got to a smidge under 12% discount with free mats - they also wore the charge for Candy white paint which has just come in as a cost option!!

GT spec 170 DSG, Nav, Leather, Bi Xenons, Folding Mirrors, Cruise, Parking Sensors, Mats, 3 years servicing - OTR for £25,600 :hyper:

Collection date estimated mid January

Very pleased.

If I include the £1k VW finance contribution, that makes it nigh on a £5k discount off list price -

My plan is to buy on PCP and then after 3 months settle the agreement so as to maximise the dealer contribution and minimise interest

What's the penalty for settling after 3 months?

No penalty. You can even pay off chunks through the term of an agreement and ask them to reduce the payments etc. PcP Finance is much more flexible these days. :-)

Thanks for that. I'm looking at getting a new Roc soon and the £1000 from VW is tempting but a PCP deal would cost me about £3000 in interest more than a straight cash deal.
