Economy

Post by stono »

Ok so, 6 months ago I was driving a TypeR. Pretty pants on petrol.
I changed it for a bluemotion 1.6 tdi golf match. Excellent car, a nice 75-80mpg if i really tried but my god was i bored.
Lasted 6 months and now i'm in a 2.0TSI scirocco.

Now, I commute 52 miles/day and i sold the car to myself by saying: "Ahhh the petrol won't be that bad, 45mpg if i drive like a grandad"
Lasted a day.
Think i've averaged 32mpg on this tank, compared to ~ 60 in my golf, haha..

totally worth it though, what a car (bluefin'd up as well).

So you've probably got to the bottom of this post and realised i'm wittering on about nothing much! Ah well eh?

I convinced myself I could live off 20-30 quid of petrol a week if I stayed at my boyfriends a few nights a week. My commute is only about a half an hour drive...Put 60 quid in last weekend and 60 quid in yesterday :P lol! Probs cos I'm in the petrol honey moon and I'm literally driving everywhere though right now!
