New Golf R

Post by kenny.c »

Ive been looking around at any possible options for a replacment and our VW dealer has offered a brand new Golf R at 28.5k......Candy - Lux Pack - wheel upgrade + 3 year service package....

Sounds interesting but wandered if any members had driven one...?

Thanx

R obviously has more power and 4WD.

My previous car was a R32 and the traction with the 4WD was really good but it can make the experience feel a bit dull.

Only you can decide what you want but I would save a few bob and try and pick up one of the last R32s, the V6 is a peach and it sounds fantastic :-)

never considered the Golf R as in spec i wanted was getting a bit pricey when i factored in the stock suspension set up would be ditched as a minimum other cars were becoming of interest, if i wanted standard and stage 1 it would be a cracking all rounder

Ed35 was a better base for i want to do and with whats been done it doesn't feel too compromised and a lot sharper than the mk5
