Just opened my bonnet to top the oil up and looking around I find this dangling behind the right front light:
I was looking around and found it fits into this just behind the front grille area.
Anyone know what it is, what does it do? and also, more to the point, why it would be unplugged?!?!?

I've had a quick look at it appears to be the only wires that feed to the radiator fan area. No Idea why they would be unplugged???

It is a production easement connection for when they put the front bumper & radiator assembly of the Scirocco during build. The socket wires continue on through the front bumper to the Bonnet Release micro-switch at the release catch. So it shows the bonnet open in the MFD Scirocco graphic.
Just push it into the socket and make sure it clicks when almost fully home.
Bit like the header tank cap, why was that half undone?

Same connector I plugged my front fog light in to when I replaced a broken one.

Well, plugged in now and I have no idea why anything is unplugged or whatever.
I think RW1 should give everyones cars the once over becuase as soon as I plugged it in, the white filled glory of the bonnet open showed in the MFD.
All good. My oil came today, so sorted that. Now I'm just staring at the air inlet tubes and thinking. That box is far too clunky....
