Re: Does LAUNCH control exist

I have a 1.4 TSi DSG and it's in my manual too. However, the garage manage to lose my original manual (I bought the car second-hand with 1500 miles on the clock) so maybe my manual isn't the correct one for my model  I've not tried L/C yet but sounds like I need to for informative forum reaso...

Re: oooh this is embarrasing but go on laugh it up

You depress the fuel cap at about 9 o'clock - there is no button inside the car like in all other VWs I've been in. That took me a while to figure out on a forecourt...especially since the dealer forgot to supply my manual!

Re: MY2011 changes

I have a question about the spec list. I believe I have a week 29 MY 2011 UK 'Roc so I gather I should have:- "* Flat tyre indicator fitted as standard on cars with 17" and 18" wheels." However I do not seem to have a Flat Tyre 'Set' button down by the ACC controls. Am I missing ...

Re: fuel filler

My old golf had a fuel cap switch, in exactly the same place as the roc boot opener, which made it pop open. This has become extremely annoying as force of habit means everytime i fill up i open the boot! i look like a right tit everytime lol! lol - best to look cool and rumage around the boot, pre...

Re: fuel filler

I had fun with this when picking up my 'Roc last Friday. I was looking everywhere for a filler cap button around the door, as it is with the MkV Golf I drove the week before. Eventually I just prodded the cap until it opened. This has reminded me to tell the wife! It doesn't help that the dealer did...

Thanks. I made a mess of my post so editted it today. I had to move the quote options around to make it readable. It took me a while to find it this morning so I'm not surprised it wasn't noticed!

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

IMG_1676.JPG Here it is! I just need the snow to melt to what the 'S' drive can do ;-) I'm loving the heated seats - absolutely perfect in this weather. I picked up the car on Friday with 1500 miles on the clock. Really happy with all the optional extras but more than that the way it drives. The DS...

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

Feck that was stressful! ... Hmm! I feel I've just had a lucky escape! You did the right thing! Good luck finding another! Not only have I tracked down another, I've also managed to get on a bus and three trains to get myself down to Kent, view it, drive it and then buy it! I'm now the proud owner ...

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

Feck that was stressful! After a very long phone call I found out the car doesn't have ACC or MDI. It does have an RCD510 stereo, though the description is RCD310. I said I wanted to cancel and eventually he offered back 75% of my deposit. I just excused myself from the phone call without accepting....

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

RW1 - Yes, but will he see it like that? I would have thought that because I can prove the photos don't match the spec then I've got a good case. Hopefully it will have ACC so this will all be academic but I just have a feel it will not have it. This is stressful! Thanks for th info neekoh - that is...

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

I'm not convinced about ACC - it seems to be an optional extra in many countries. I suspected it to be a Irish spec but their product guide doesn't even mention the 1.4 TSI 160! I'll have to ask the dealer tomorrow. I definitely don't want the car if it doesn't have it. I'm not sure where I stand wi...

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

Right it is an import. It sounds like I'll not get the RCD510 but get the RCD310 instead. Bah! I love the touchscreen RCD510 but may now get an RNS510 C from ebay and fit it (I've read some other posts and got a bit confused - I think I may also need a GPS receiver and an OPS PDC). I also do...

Re: (Short) wait nearly over

Thanks S - will ring today. I'll also check where I stand with my local VW dealer once I have the information. I suspect I will have the two years but I'll see how much it will be to purchase extra warranty from them (assuming I'm OK with them)! Meanwhile I'll go through the specs with a fine toothc...
