Ok that clears things up. It was just after I saw quite a few around and especially some modern scirocco's with them that it was something which was legal. Clearly not.

Yes he can do the cars from the change in late November 2009. My car is a June 2010 and he has confirmed when I brought it to him that it is possible. It's £300.

As the post above yours and around the forum suggest, you can do it yourself and this is the best way if you need to get it done quickly. I was quite happy with the wear on the Dunlops, with 22k out of the front and 6mm still left on the rears, I have decided to stick with the same. I also got, what I thought, was a good price of £165 per tyre.

I agree with Blue, its probably a design change to stop people retrofitting elsewhere. It was so easy before on all models that VW probably lost out that way.

Just an update on this issue, I went back to the dealer today to collect the missing tow eye cover and they still didn't have the cruise control available for 2010 cars.
