What is this noise??
Hey guys. Owning 2012 R for 1 year now, and recently since higher temperature on outside and driving with window down, noticed this strange sound. Sometimes its here, other time not. But when it is, its mostly during cruising around 50kmh - 70kmh. Every slight touch on brake, or slight steer, it dis...

1.4 tsi 160hp OIL
Hello to all. I know there is a lot of discussion about oil here, and on other sites, but not specificaly for this engine :( However, I live in Croatia, if that does matter. The engine code is CAVD, 230 000 km on clock. Until now, I always used specificaly, and only Castrol EDGE fst 5w30LL. In 3 yea...

Re: Turkey sound boostleak
I managed to reach one friend of mine who is mechanic, but I`m not seeing him very frequently, and he says that problem is in my waterpump. Or something very near that. (belt slipping?) and really, sound comes from there. Like from inside. Is it posible that something is slipping inside? The pump is...

Re: Turkey sound boostleak
Yes I know. Currently for me is problem combine garage working time with my working time. And In 1 month I go to vacation for pretty long trip, and I wouldn`t like to go like this. Just doesn`t feel confidently when you need to overpass someone. But also I believe it`s not very smart to drive like t...

Re: Turkey sound boostleak
I checked today under car. Pipes look fine. However, i found few drops of oil in one pipe. (right one when you stand in front of the car looking at engine) its exit one I believe. Strange is, that few minutes after start, when car is still cold, its boosting properly. After, no. And is really funny ...

Re: Turkey sound boostleak
Today I finally got CEL for this.
P0299 Boost Pressure Regulation
Control Range Not Reached - MIL ON
P0236 Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor 'A' Circuit
Is this both caused by a boostleak? or is some of this 2 actually cause of the boostleak?? Anyone experienced this?
Best regards

Re: Need someone with experience to read VCDS scan
It is stretched chain problem. So booked car in for next week when new part arrives. And is posible that HPFP is also gone bad. But mechanic said that it`s posible that this problem also solves after replacing chain and tensioner and setting proper timing (because now it is out of), and I`m getting ...

Re: TSI 160 and P2263
I changed the n75 last week, and I noticed slight better response on throttle. Possibly just placebo.. But judder at 3500rpm, and grandpa mode above 3500rpm still here. I dont know what to change next. Its so that every other car can pass over you :@ I haven`t noticed any leak. strange that I canhea...

Too tight spark plugs
Hello. I got car in for sparkplugs change. and other things also. First mechanic told me that he managed to take 1 out, but other 3 are too tight, and that he dont want to risk to break something bigger. Gues that previous owner tighten them way too much. I called another mechanic, he told me the sa...
