Without going through the whole thread
Will a 2010 Scirocco R, without cruise, require the slip ring?
Thanks

I work off miles per tank
On a good long runs I will see 340-360 miles per tank
With town drive (what I mostly do) it ranges between 280-310 miles per tank

Re: Which petrol for the R?
Any turbo petrol car will benefit from a higher octane fuel Personally I switch between Sainsburys SUL or BP Ultimate, just depends what is handiest. Unfortunately in Northern Ireland we do not have access to Tesco Momentum or Shell V-Power :( 95 ron is ok for the car but ideally 97+ is better for p...

Re: Scirocco R VS Audi TTS
Tough but good choice to have between the two cars I love the TTS but didn't really consider it when I chose the Scirocco R. Maybe I should have looked more in to them to be honest however, I love my Scirocco. I had a Porsche Cayman S before my Scirocco so I guess I had my fill of a small sports car...

Re: What's everyone's thoughts on which product to use?
I had my car detailed and ceramic coated in September 2015 using Cquartz I have used Gtechnique in the past but according to my detailer and several other opinions, Cquartz is the way forward I had my Porsche Cayman S done in Gtechnique and it beaded beautifully for the 9 months I had it My Audi S4 ...

More than likely the above - personally I would remove the rear wiper, looks a lot fresher and smooth without it

What coilovers did you buy? Most companies supply a kit for this
Or as said just disconnect the button

Picture of the rear to see the de-rear wiper mod a bit better
And one of the engine bay cleaned slightly. I am on the hunt for a TTS engine cover to tidy it up a bit as well as a black washer bottle cap.

Belfast - 2010 Viper Green Scirocco R
Thought it was about time I put my car up on show. I come from a pretty good back ground of performance cars over the last 6 or 7 years: 2009-2014 a 2007 Audi S3 Revo Stage 2+ with 372bhp 2014-2015 a 2005 Porsche Cayman S Revo tuned with 300bhp 2015 for a brief spell a 2010 Audi S4 Avant 3.0V6T with...

Re: Your personal R pros and cons!
Front wheel drive only
Having come from a 370bhp Audi S3 and a 330bhp Audi S4 avant, putting the power down on a FWD hot hatch/coupe is quite frustrating.
If it wasn't for the looks of the Scirocco I would have gone for another S3 or Golf R.
Apart from that I love the car

Re: Remap - potential MPG gains?
In my 8P S3 with Revo 2+ around 370bhp my car was between 27-30mpg which was awesome
Now in my R with standard power I would be in around the same to be honest and probably less now since I have moved house and more centrally based with lots of stop starts

Re: Remap - potential MPG gains?
Very doubtful
If you drive like a granny you may get a few points here and there due to the increase toque figures produced by the map but ultimately thats not what you tune your car for
With the price of fuel these days and 34mpg in a R I would be laughing all day
