Got my car serviced today. I used the online booking service but when I got there they had no record of it. Luckily they could fit it in. They also have to fit a new water pump as there has been a recall on them which I was unaware of. Unfortunately they don't have the part in stock so they're keeping it in over night. I'm not sure if this is just for 2012 R or other models too. It may be worth checking if you have a 2012 car.

Also wondering whether anyone cleans their car pre-service? I always like to make sure it's pristine when I take it to the garage.

Yes - I always make a point of my car being immaculate prior to a service. My rational on that is I believe they should recognise that this is a car that is well cared for and treat it in the same way.

I am sure if the truth is known, whether it is caked in mud or pristine, they are treated in the same way.

Ps. The online booking service I have heard reports that it can be unreliable, I am surprised that it is still not perfected yet.

Yeah I'm the same, makes me feel better anyway. Often they wash and Vac it anyway and I end up coming out with it covered in water marks.
