Re: Fuel flap won't release

Indeed mine was purely mechanism failure Volkswagen had to replace this , how ever well you clean the car a hell of a lot of muck and dirt will appear inside the filler cap. I really didn't know until now you could open in an emergency from the boot I used to stand at the fuel station like a numpty ...

Re: Is there going to be a Scirocco replacement?

That's a real kick in the teeth its the last year of production. I still think they look fresh for a 2008 launched car . Ive had mine pushing 6 years now longest ive ever owned a car, kept it for so long as I love the looks but starting to get the itch now, There is good lease deals on at the moment...

Re: Is there going to be a Scirocco replacement?

A couple of Motoring Magazines reported a while back possible production of a coupe style Golf called Golf CC similar style to Passat CC, that doesn't sound too bad but ive heard no more of this . If they do produce a replacement called Corrado as mentioned above I hope its not some £10K above the p...

Re: Daily Driver Rant

I don't get the overtake coming out of a 30 too often but I get what I call the 40mph brigade everywhere. My commute to work takes me on a 9 mile stretch of road that has 50mph, 40mph, 60mph limits with a couple of 30s in the villages. I have a moron pointlessly tailgating at 30mph then when the roa...

Re: Colour Choice - Ultra Violet?

Seen a few UVs around now it really suits the facelift model. the grey suits the car really well too. I bought candy white over 4years ago, love the colour but now I can't seem to get viper green out my head, I wasn't outgoing enough at the time to get that colour .

Re: Will this VW scandal effect anything?

This scandal seems to be as hyped up as Christmas , may affect diesel values for a few months, the petrols may hold up better. I just think drivers are worried about increased tax costs rather than emissions . I think there will be a comeback to petrol vehicles over diesels for new cars in the futur...

Re: Scirocco Facelift - Clarkson review

I saw on Dave about a year ago now a repeat of Top Gear from 2008 where the original Scirocco was road tested by Clarkson prob the 2.0TSI, he raved about it and didn't have a bad word to say. I only ever buy cars on personal choice and never take the advice on Top gear or any other Motoring Magazine...

Re: anyone getting bored or losing interest in your roc?

Ive had mine for over 3 and half years and nearly 40 000 miles now, I generally keep cars for around 4 years by that time I fancy driving something else, but Im never bored of this one, the shape is still the best looking on the road in my opinion, I never tire of the way it drives and looks as good...

Re: Opinion on 1.4 122 tsi

Had mine from new nearly 3years now, reliable, gets along and pulls away nicely, I have a 15mile drive each way to work and get up to 45mpg on a good run. If buying from new you have most options to spec it up to a GT. the only thing not available is the DSG gearbox. Just wondering if I could pm yo...

Re: Facelifted Scirocco Official Pictures And Details

Some useful changes, they haven't ruined it too much and the new range of more efficient engines is good id defiantly buy another and upgrade my 1.4 122tsi for a more powerful 2.0. some time in the future. Be interesting to see a revised model in the flesh especially in some of the new colours .

Re: Scirocco facelift spied in the US

Please, please Volkswagen don't ruin the front end, its the best feature, does look good being a lowered a little on the suspension. I think it would be good if a few new coiours were added, the scirocco would look great in Yellow.

Done over 18000 now in just a tad under 2years of ownership, I have short journeys to work but travel all over the place outside of work. Oh Polos a nice little car, had one while the rocco was in having some work done. very easy to drive and park.

Re: The Upgrade > The Viper

How about a 2.0 TDI 170 dsg is a good mix of performance and economy just slightly slower than the petrol 2.0. as for the engine tapping noises my 1.4tsi has done it from new I put it down to a charictaristic of the car, VW gave it the all clear on the service.
