Re: heater warm up time

Having exactly the same problem as describe by RW, will have the car in next Friday - will be interesting to see what they have to say, but when I reported the problem (20 mins before any warm air blowing into the car) they replied it's normal..yeah, right. There's really no point in turning the tem...

Re: Pah! Who needs diesel :)

That's pretty good for the 2.0 TSI! So far I've had about 42 MPG during a couple of stints, on the winter wheels which are 205/55-16 rather than the Interlagos summer ones with the standard 235/40-18, still think it's pretty good with just 5000 km's on the clock. Best average for a full tank is abou...

Re: To Dsg or Not To Dsg

I have to say that as nice as the Rocco is, the DSG box is what makes it special. It drives very well, it's very well put together, it's a real looker (well, maybe not the "american lady butt" looking rear)..but so are many of the cars I had in mind before I finally decided, but without th...

:) Just think of all the evil things car sales people have done to you over the years and you realise you have nothing to be ashamed of. Did VW assistance charge you anything for..eh..you know, not engaging your noodle..? ;)

Re: Fuse Diagram - I don't have one!

I know it's an old topic but rather than just creating yet another one.. As my car is a post-wk45/09 I don't have a fuse diagram (what the heck were they thinking over at VW when they took it out of the manual, I mean shouldn't the owner of the car even have a chance to do that to his or her car? Da...

Re: My candy white rocco project

Cool project, did you just pick it up and started this or has it been in your possession for a while before you started thinking about what to do with it? You have to put up a new pic or two with the new mirror caps and badges, I don't see them in any of the above pics. If you want to go all-in you ...

Wow..that's a tough one, but I see where you're coming from. I would at least consider keeping the Rocco too, even though that Polo is a stunner (in the same way Shrek is) ;)

Re: So how many miles do you do a year?

Not much, averaging 15000 kms so about 9000 miles. Never getting the moneys worth buying a new car but car ownership never was about making sense, and I would consider a diesel if not in the Roc so at least in our other "grown up" car, currently a Volvo v70 2,5FT, but that could just as we...

Re: Automatic Rain Sensors for Scirocco?

You'll notice a black lead covered in sort of a plastic tube going from the roof lining by the windscreen down to your rear view mirror if you have it. Not all cars do but looking at your car spec/options I'd you have it.

Re: New TDI 170 Black Style Pack

Wicked car mate! But you knew that already :) SDHC cards work fine on the RCD and RNS units so no worries, only thing might be performance but I haven't had that on any of mine - but if you're in the UK, you should also have the MediaIN so you might opt for a USB stick, and even if you haven't got o...

Re: Problem with 7 Speed DSG

..(sorry for thread hijack).. No hijacking going on here, you started it mate :) As RW1 says, I think it's "as designed", so to work around it, either I change to Sports mode or just paddle my way down the gears to get it into the revs where things start to happen - both ways just puts a ...

Re: The arrival of the 60 Candy White 160 TSI

Cool car lineup, I can only assume you'll keep the Spanyard as the Rocco only gets out in good weather :D Obviously I think you made the best choice when you picked a Candy 1.4 DSG, and as you'll soon (or already did) discover, it's really an amazing car and after 2000 km in it I still get that new ...

Re: Delivery tomorrow

I think your're right, I read it the other way around - I only now noticed that it was petrol in a diesel car. Anyway, I hope you get your car later on during the day Tempest, I suppose if they in fact just put the wrong kind of fuel in, just emptying the tank and fill it up again wouldn't be too di...

Re: harsh ride on 122

There's no ACC as williams wrote in the opening post. I'd guess you're better off swapping your Interlagos wheels to a set of 17", I'm guessing a bunch of people on here would volunteer, changing the tires would possibly improve things a little bit but would throw the speedo off as trix says, a...

Re: ANY ELSE WITH A DELAY IN BUILD DUE TO THE SUNROOF??

Holy schmoly, order in April and deliver in December and that was the original plan?! I've read about the DSG delay but nothing about the pano roof causing extra lead time.
