Re: Fuel injector extended warranty ?
We'll all four injectors have been replaced and the idle doesn't drift anymore but it still misfires like hell when cold. They noticed a pretty major carb build up which is no surprise and are going to quote me on that. The price will probably br insane as its at a main dealership but as im offshor...

Re: GAP Insurance - who's hot at the moment?
The point i was trying to make though, is do you even need it, and if so what type do you need Just asking who is best won't help as it all depends what you want it for, if you even need it in the first place It just seems to be one of those things companies try to sell you when it isn't even needed...

Re: Fuel injector extended warranty ?
The thing is when you have a project car as your daily you understand that parts are generally fine. Certainly a good condition / working second hand injector is not really much more likely to fail, given the cost differences, you can buy 10+ used injectors for the price of one new one! (and given ...

Re: Fuel injector extended warranty ?
Same happened to my 2008 2.0 TSi, 2 went at the same time, had them replaced by a local garage at a cost of over £500, 2 weeks later a third one went, so had the other 2 replaced, again at over £500........... so it's common enough Part of the reason i now own a Honda Civic as i was fed up of the sh...

Re: Best wax
Depends what you want the wax for, adding a high shine or long lasting protection/water repellency, as these are generally at the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to wax As above though, if you want long lasting/high water repellency then you can't go far wrong with either Collinite or Fi...

Re: Decision to make!
Did have a look at Jap cars but not sure what would be suitable in comparison to a Scirocco....what have you got? Got a Civic Type-S GT 1.8 VTEC, is 140bhp so not as quick as my old 2.0TSi, and doesn't look as nice on the outside (still a good looking car though IMO), but inside it is streets above...

Re: Decision to make!
I'd certainly buy from a dealer with warranty, i have recently got rid of my bad penny, spent at least 8 occasions in the garage in a space of 12 months with all sorts of things wrong with it from fuel injectors (twice), fuel pump, throttle body (3 times), throttle pedal, coil packs.......... cost ...

EPC Light, Throttle Position Sensor, Throttle Body
Right then, a bit of back story first Had an issue a few months back where car went into limp mode (EPC light came on), after some back and forth to the garage for fault code clearing (throttle position sensor fault), throttle body cleaning and eventually a new throttle body i thought all was sorted...

Re: Changed EGR Valve and now wont start
I haven't yet, I may give that ago and see if that's a possibility. If it still isn't running when I do that what else do you think it could be? It was running fine before we did the change over. I can only assume you have disturbed something else when replacing the EGR as that alone should not hav...

So you have power then, and it's turning over, but not firing (so not battery related then)Packham93 wrote:Hi there,
No fault codes, nothing on the dashboard just sounds like there's no compression
What does no compression sound like?

Are you getting any power at all, dash light, stereo etc?
Any fault codes?
Is it turning over but not firing?
Come on, you aren't giving us much to go on here
