Silver or black rims seems like a very personal choice.

I own a 2.0 140 TDI R-line. If I'm not mistaken the official time notes 9s (something like that). But with a bit of a warm-up and some good shifting mine seems to be able to do it in just under 8s. This is backed up by some videos I see on Youtube with people having the same engine. Hope this helps.
