Had same issue with mine,turned out to be flexihose supplying rear screen wash,,flexihose had split

if its anything like the 2.0tsi,,,DO NOT USE IMPACT GUN ON BOTTOM PULLEY BOLT, use a counter hold tool to undo the bottom pulley,,

dealers,,around £48,,,do not use a rattle gun on the bottom pulley bolt,,!!

had the same thing on mine 2.0tsi,,ended up being the balance shaft bearing housing,,,,a bolt had come out,,the bearing assembly kept moving out of its journals,,intermittend low oil pressure,,,junked the engine ,,,,,,,,,

you have a 2.0tsi ?????,engine defo stays in,,not sure where you are located,,,,,,,mine had just started to have a strange rattle on start up,,ive owned the car 4 years and done 50,000 so I know all the noises it makes,,,did mine as a precaution really,,,measured the chains before tensioner removal...

I've just heard back from the garage today about the same issue. My 2009 2.0GT (TSi) also needs a new engine quoted at 7k. Its only achieved a mileage of 80k, I'm gutted! I can't see any other option than doing as xjay1337 suggests in my case. not unless you know a decent engine builder,,,i lunched...

scirocco 2.0 tsi 2010 just turned 101300 miles timing chain tensioner £48 How much was the timing chain tensioner in labor? They have to take the engine out right? nope engine stays in,, chains are all good,,,i did it myself,,aprox 4 hrs,,,,changed out oil and filter at the same time

hmmmm,,if they have greased the wishbone bushes,,,,that shouldn't be the cause,,,but you also have drop links connected to the anti roll bar,,there is the anti roll bar mountings as well,,to be fair there is not a lot else moves when the suspension is compressed(ie going over a speed bump)

had the same problem with my scirocco,,2.0tsi,,98,000 miles,,intake runner fault,,,bought one via ebay from the states £148 inc vat,import duties etc

425 for a fabricated exhaust seems reasonable,,have mine lowered on h&r 35 mm,,,drives superb,,looks good and clears all speed bumps,,,

hi,,, I have tried all sorts on mine,,225/40/18 on the front 235/40/18 on the rear,,if anything just to keep wear rate down. but have gone to manufacturers recommendation ,also fun at 32 psi all round,, falken 912 ok budget tyre,,,not great grip in the wet falken 452 better,, Pirelli zero,,awesome w...
