Re: New toy....
Yeah, the Salsa red was a much deeper darker red. The new one is more of a scarlet colour

Re: New toy....
Definitely think the flash red looks better than the old salsa red, suits the car better.
The upgraded wheels totally change the look of the car too. So far, I have done more miles in it than she has

Re: Scirocco 08/09 and 2010+ question
I was the opposite, on my previous car, I had the choice of the original or the facelift version and went for the original. That was influenced by the fact that it had leather, sunroof, and a few other extras, I felt these items outweighed the older steering wheel and red display, but it is a matter...

Re: Flash Red or Candy White
We are currently having the same debate in our house about colour choice..... We are going to spec the Lisbon alloys, just to make the car look a bit different. The Salsa red is similar to the old BMW Imola red colour, quite dark, and deep. It looked good on the old e46 3 series coupes but didnt sui...

Re: 1.4 TSI or Diesel
Your argument for the 2.0TSI is pointless, because we don't want one! The post was asking for opinions between the 1.4TSI and the 150bhp Diesel, not for opinions between the 2.0 tsi and the 184bhp diesel. Its being bought via a PCP, and with the discount, and the deposit contribution, along with the...

Re: 1.4 TSI or Diesel
2.0 TSI For 5k miles a year a diseasel is pointless, using current average fuel prices the diesel will save you a whole £355 a year on fuel. (That assumes 50MPG on diesel and 30MPG on petrol) I assume you're leasing, so no depreciation to consider, but even when you take the tax savings into consid...

Re: 1.4 TSI or Diesel
Thanks folks Whilst there would be a lot of short journeys, the car will also likely be doing 2 x 90 mile round trips a week, mostly on dual carriageways at 6-70mph I would hope this would prevent any DPF issues occurring. I think the better economy of the diesel is going to steer us down that route...

1.4 TSI or Diesel
Hi Returning to this forum as we are looking at buying another scirocco for my wife. 2nd car so it will do maybe 5-10,000 miles per year. AS usual, lots of smoke and mirrors from dealers, and promises that they are doing you a favour and almost making a loss on the car, however on the finance figure...

Re: Cracked lens
Thanks. That's cheered me up. Never even thought of eBay but £22 isn't too painful. Got a cracked fog light lens now too so will go to eBay for that first

Looks like it has the new steering wheel so the Bluetooth should be the newer version?

Re: RCD 510 Bluetooth Questions
If its a 59 plate it's likely to have the older type of Bluetooth that only works with rsap type Bluetooth. Won't work for iPhone 5.
