Better to know now, then you either relax and enjoy the anticipation of your new toy, or look at other options if there is a problem.
I went through the same thing with my first new car and it was a huge relief once I knew it was all sorted and the car was definately coming.

Re: VW FINANCE CREDIT CHECK
A bigger deposit should always make a difference, as the risk to the lender is decreased if you defualt (same as with a mortage). Personally, I'd give them a call and ask the question, although if you've not had to tell them how long you've lived at your current address, how many years you've been w...

Re: VW FINANCE CREDIT CHECK
It's often one of factors that can determine what kind of deal you can do as the dealer may look at placing the finance with a different finance house if thier primary funder doesn't like the look it. For instance, they will have access to other funders that might offer a slightly poorer rate on the...

Re: Fuel/Distance Remaining, how low can it go?
Advice to all, in the good old days when a fuel gauge was a needle that flickered about and you never really knew how much fuel you had the best thing to do with a new car was to fill a gallon can and put it in the boot then drive the car till it run out I've been told that if you run out of petrol...

Re: Does LAUNCH control exist
Not sure if dealer was correct or whether this has been mentioned before but when I picked my car yesterday the chap who I dealt with asked if I knew about the launch control function (obviously having read about it on here I did :) ). He then went on to say that the car logs each time the launch c...

Re: Urgent Help - How big is the Scirocco Boot
I think this convinces the good lady that it's possible. Now all I need to do is to make sure you can get a new born in and out the bacj with isofix. Any experiences anyone? It's definately possible, we often have both kids in the back and the Scirocco does have isofix. The only thing I would say i...

Re: Urgent Help - How big is the Scirocco Boot
If it's any help, we can get a Phil & Teds double buggy + the weekly food shop in the boot. We also managed to get two travel cots and overnight bags in (minus the buggy).

Re: What don't you like about your Rocco?
I don't like the fact that mine is in the body shop waiting for a new door, and will be for at least another three weeks. I WANT MY CAR BACK!!!
Seriously, I'd like a bigger coat hook that you could hang a suit coat hanger on. The tiny thing on the passenger side is next to useless.

Re: Dented Roc!!!
Hopefully it will be sorted out soon for you I'm not holding my breath. It seems that the wheels of insurance claims turn a little slower than I'd like. Had a letter this morning saying that it won't even be inspected for 10 days.... :? I get the distinct feeling I could be without it for about a m...

Re: Dented Roc!!!
She was going for it reversing off her driveway which was uphill, so if she was looking out of her rear window, she'd have been looking straight over the top of me. She blamed her new glasses.... She admitted responsibility and I got her to sign a note to that effect, not sure if that holds much swa...

Re: Sumatra With Truffle Leather
Looks great - one dealer was raving about sumatra with truffle leather and I can see why! How are you enjoying it? Absolutely loving it. Everyone who sees the colour scheme and the leather thinks it looks lovely. On the night I picked it up, I parked in the supermarket car park and a guy fell...
