Hi guys, can anyone help me please?
My sunroof motor decided to pack up last week, VW garage quoted my £538 +vat to install a new one. I found on on ebay for £30 and fitted it and sorted the problem. I went to start my car this morning and the battery was drained and wouldn't start the car just make loads of relay clicking noises. I've got my battery on charge now but would like any advice what might have caused this?
Thanks in advance.
Carl

Pull the fuse for the sunroof and put an ammeter across the terminals and check there is no current being drawn by the motor when not in use.

Is that from the box inside near the drivers door? How can you tell which one is 33?

Any ideas guys?
I've looked through my manual and there's no fuse diagram.
Does anyone have a pdf or image of one?
Thanks

Have you seen this thread?

When you remove the cover from the fuses you should see a numbered fuse list on the rear of the cover.

I can see it's 33 but I don't a list on the reverse of the fuse cover, that's my problem I don't know which one to pull out. I looked at the post suggested thanks but again I can't see which is the right one to pull out.

Unless I'm missing something the thread has a diagram of the fuse box at the end of the dash with each fuse being numbered. Fuse 33 being 5th row from the top, 2nd fuse in from the left. Another way is to start counting the fuses from the top left hand row, and then each row left to right u.til you get to 33.

Thanks for the help guys, I didn't see the diagram at the bottom, really appreciate your advice.
Now my next task is to address is when the sunroof is down it's just slightly not all the way down. I've found this info which I guess applies?
