Scirocco Central

Well, the car was in to VW the other week for a service. Today I noticed a rather nasty looking yellow substance around the door & boot hinges. Can't say I spotted it before but then again I've not really looked.





Anyway, I've cleaned all the mess off with the help of a small paint brush & some APC. Can anyone recommend a decent lube for the hinges which will do the job but be less conspicuous?

From the looks of it, they've put on G 000 150 grease which the official VW grease for the hinges on the Scirocco. The equivalent needs to be waterproof, so bearing grease like Castrol LM grease is not suitable. Thanks for that, I'll get some from Halfords. Hopefully it won't look like its been applied with a catapult when I've done it.
