Hi guys,
Doesn't Scirocco R have a belt or chain? From searching I can see the 2.0 model has a chain but can't see nothing regarding the R
Thanks

R model still uses the older EA113 engine which has a cambelt.
Other 2.0 litre petrol models use the EA888 engine which has a cam chain.

Ah ok, thanks. Mines a 2011 which has done 36,700 miles, should I be looking at changing it soon?

VW UK recommend that the belt and tensioner are changed at 5 years. While at it, it makes sense to fit a new water pump too.
