Took advantage of the lockdown and fantastic weather.

Overhauled the front brakes. Full strip down then painted with high temperature anthracite. Finished with acrylic high gloss lacquer.

The rears will be done to match

Coded my dipped lights so they are not permanently on. Now only side lights as DRL and dipped come on at dusk automatically or manually when selected [emoji16][emoji106]

I used VCDS

Controller 09
Byte 11
Bit 2

No issues what so ever. Good lamps and all correct sizes. Great light out put.

Fitted the last set of Osram Premium LEDs to my rear light clusters and coded up with VCP. NO errors, NO resistors, NO hyperflashing. Looks like a modern car again :D
Genuine VCDS and VCP System available in North West - Burnley/Pendle/Ribble Valley/Craven areas. PM me if in need.

I'll post some action pics later but these are the ones. All bayonet bulbs are Osram LEDriving Premium SL series, stop/tail/fog are P21W and the indicator is PY21W. I'm not going to say these are CANBUS friendly because - as we all know here - bulb monitoring is a function of the BCM, not CANBUS itself. These bulbs WILL throw a dash error without resistors or BCM coding, but if that side of things is taken care of these bulbs are ideal for the job given how they're designed to use the reflector rather than directly projecting light forward. They've also got far heftier heatsinks than you'll find on most other P21W bulbs, should help with longevity.

P21W/BA15S - " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PY21W/BAU15S - " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Replaced the front wishbones with all bushings and new ball joints.

Then replaced the rear trailing arms complete with bushes. Just the lower control arms and camber arms to do, then the whole suspension has been renewed.

Already done the drop links, anti roll bushes and dampers/springs with top mounts

Full four wheel alignment to follow. Feels 100% better already. It wasn't bad but I intend to keep the car for a while and wanted a like new experience.Its well worth doing especially with the 40% discount at ECP. I used lemforder parts, which I have used for years across Mercedes, Audi and BMW with no issues.

Did you do a lot of that yourself bar the Air con and Revo stage 1? That’s a big bill if not but like you said. It’s worth it[emoji106]

I managed a turbo delete with the added benefit of oil ejection if that counts?
